There are several opinions about what comprises a Giclee print. Some claim it is a French word meaning spray or squirt, in this case to spray the ink onto the surface, similar to that of an inkjet printer.
Giclče Prints: The term "giclče print" signifies an advanced method of print, where no screen or device produces a visible dot screen pattern. The images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto various substrates including canvas, fine art, and photo-base paper.
